Re: Coach Hernandez NO Longer Head Coach - MVHS Wrestling
Thank you Coach Hernandez for your leadership and direction in the past 2 years.  Our boys had a great time and Darren will still continue to participate in this awesome sport.

See you in the stands!

Thanks,
Tony

Hello Wrestling Family,

The past 2 years have been one of the best experiences I have had in my Coaching Career. Building the program from the ground up was tough, exciting and a true learning experience to say the lease. Wrestling is like no other sport and because of that, family help and participation is extremely important to the success of the program. We had some great accomplishments because of our family environment and I have been able to share them all with each and everyone of you, making the experience that much better. Here are some of the accomplishments:

2017- Season
  • Raising enough money to have our first season at MVHS in almost 30 years
  • Massive Coordination schedule to have practice both at LAHS & MVHS
  • Beating our Cross town rivals LAHS in the final match (So exciting)
  • With only 13 wrestlers, taking 3rd in league and 2 wrestlers making it to the CCS Tournament
  • Receiving the award for CCS Scholastic Team of the Year with a 3.96 Team GPA
2018 - Season
  • Going undefeated in league play
  • Dominating Los Altos in another Win
  • Our First Ever Spartan Quad Dual Tournament on MVHS Campus
  • Winning 1st place as a team in the League tournament
  • 6 Wrestlers making it to the CCS Tournament
  • Several 1st Place finishers at our Scheduled Tournaments
All this would not have been possible without the help of Coach Nhiem and Coach Ricardo as well as Stephanie the team mom! I would also be doing a disservice to all the parents that volunteered their time to support and help make the program a success. Although this was not my choice I truly want the program to continue making statements and your kids have the talent, the work ethic and the will to make that happen. Good luck this season and I will see you in the stands!

Thank You,

Coach Francisco J Hernandez Jr
