The City of Los Altos is recruiting applications for City commissions, including the Youth Commission.
An applicant for the Youth Commission must be a resident of the City of Los Altos, and must be entering 7th-12th grade by August 2021

Youth Commission interviews will be scheduled at a later date. Interested individuals are encouraged to attend a meeting of the Commission before applying. Youth Commission: The Youth Commission advises the City Council on matters relating to teen and youth issues, including recreation interests, personal concerns, and the need for outreach services. Its purpose is to work with the Recreation Coordinator and staff to address issues relating to teens in the community; Create a forum for public discussion of teen issues; Assist in the planning, promoting, and implementing of programs and services for teens; and Plan and participate in community service activities which benefit the community of Los Altos. Youth Commission meets the first Monday of each month beginning at 6:30 p.m. during the school year. (Four seats term expiring June 2023).
